Since 2010, we’ve been creating paintable, DIY projects and a full catalog of products to help you enjoy art as much as we do.

Pin-So’s mission is to help people discover the creative world, through the emotions of people and colors. A boutique specializing in the sale of artists’ materials and creative hobbies, promoting the distribution and reproduction of artistic works.

Our history

Pin-So had existed under the name “La Boîte à Pin-So” since October 3, 2003. On February 1, 2010, Carole Majeau acquired the business from Sonia Blanchet and implemented a recovery plan to stimulate growth under the name “La Boîte à Pin-So 2010”.

In 2012, Pin-So began its annual participation in the Salon des arts décoratifs et visuels. This showcase elevates the company’s local reputation to the provincial level, and positions Pin-So in the market as a reseller of patterns by its artists to stores in the province of Quebec and New Brunswick.

On January 1, 2014, Carole Majeau incorporates the business under the name “Pin-So inc.” to structure the company for its next stage of growth, which includes the addition of a shareholder.

In June 2014, Pin-So moved from the second floor on Route de l’Église to the first floor on Chemin Sainte-Foy, doubling its floor space. This new, efficient and easily accessible layout is a great pleasure for customers and employees alike.

In August 2014, Pin-So became the exclusive distributor of Powertex products in Quebec.

In March 2016, Pin-So launched its online sales site integrated with its website. All products, courses and services are now available.

In September 2016, Pin-So acquired Les Éditions CDP. This company publishes and distributes patterns by over 30 artists, and offers over 1,800 titles for sale.

In July 2018, Pin-So acquired Powertex Canada. This company distributes Powertex products in Canada and offers a certified trainer program. Please visit www.powertex.ca for more details.

In August 2021, Pin-So launches its online course platform at pin-so.thinkific.com. Its customers can then carry out projects offered by its artists in the comfort of their own homes.

Today, Pin-So relies on several artists who produce artwork and patterns to drive the resale of patterns and artist materials.
