What to Know About Seminars

A wide variety of workshops designed by Quebec artists to help you learn and perfect your art. Discover their favourite techniques while creating one or more artworks, depending on the formula offered. You’ll also find technical courses to develop your understanding of basic concepts so you can create your own artworks, and to improve your use of different mediums. Hours of fun!

VARIED DURATION AND PRICES

Seminars vary enormously in length. You’ll find seminars lasting from a few hours to a full day, and even sessions of several workshops. As a result, prices also vary widely. So it’s important to read the descriptions of each workshop carefully.

Payment is taken at the time of registration, whether in advance or on the day of the workshop.

The level required to take part in the seminars also varies. In general, beginners are welcome as well as intermediates and advanced painters, but you do need to have painted before. If you’ve never painted before in your life, we advise you to sign up for a creative workshop first, or for a seminar specially designed for beginners.

If in doubt, don’t hesitate to contact us either by e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at 1-418-651-7682.

SUPPLIES AND PREPARATION

Some artists include some supplies for their students, others don’t. This is personal and specific to each type of seminar. So it’s still very important to read each course description carefully to know what’s included.

When you register for a seminar, we’ll send you a list of the supplies you’ll need to bring with you as soon as possible. If you would like to have access to it before you register, please write to us ([email protected]) and we will be happy to send it to you.

Instructions for preparation will be given with the list of supplies if applicable. The sketch and reference photos for the preparation will be given to you only when the course has been paid for in full.

Acrylic High Flow Golden Séries 1 30ml (1oz)
Product Details
Brand: Golden
High Flow is acrylic paint that can go from brush to marker or from dip pen to airbrush and more. From fine lines to broad strokes, High Flow Acrylic has an ink-like consistency that lends itself to a wide range of techniques, including staining, leveling, calligraphy, and mixed media.

Introduced as a replacement for GOLDEN Airbrush Colors in July of 2013, High Flow offers increased durability of dry paint and a larger palette of colors including Iridescent and Fluorescent colors, and more single-pigment colors that match the other GOLDEN color lines.

GOLDEN High Flow Acrylics are:
- A set of 49 colors, including Fluorescent and Iridescent Colors made with the same ingredients of other GOLDEN Artist Colors paint lines.
- Formulated with 100% acrylic polymer dispersion, resulting in a durable paint layer with excellent water and chemical resistance.
- Made with finely ground pigments to reduce clogging issues in small tips and nozzles.
- Additives such as flow improvers, film levelers and retarders create a very thin and free-flowing paint.
- Application use ranges from fine line-work to large passages on a variety of surfaces, such as paper, canvas, panel and other artist supports.

PRE-USE MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Remove the safety seal:
1) Unscrew the cap.
2) Carefully peel off and discard the seal
3) Securely re-attach the twist-top cap

Assure the paint is well-mixed prior to use.
NOTE: High Flow Acrylics are likely to have a degree of separation and soft settling when they are not being used. Before using, follow this procedure to assure a homogenous paint:
1) Assure the twist top cap is closed and secure prior to shaking the container.
2) If necessary, free up the mixing ball inside the container by carefully tapping the bottom edge against a hard surface
3) Shake the container for 30 seconds or until the product is evenly mixed
4) Some colors may require a longer mixing time than others due to pigment density.
5) Re-shake the bottle after long periods of time or whenever there are signs of settling
