What to Know About Seminars

A wide variety of workshops designed by Quebec artists to help you learn and perfect your art. Discover their favourite techniques while creating one or more artworks, depending on the formula offered. You’ll also find technical courses to develop your understanding of basic concepts so you can create your own artworks, and to improve your use of different mediums. Hours of fun!

VARIED DURATION AND PRICES

Seminars vary enormously in length. You’ll find seminars lasting from a few hours to a full day, and even sessions of several workshops. As a result, prices also vary widely. So it’s important to read the descriptions of each workshop carefully.

Payment is taken at the time of registration, whether in advance or on the day of the workshop.

The level required to take part in the seminars also varies. In general, beginners are welcome as well as intermediates and advanced painters, but you do need to have painted before. If you’ve never painted before in your life, we advise you to sign up for a creative workshop first, or for a seminar specially designed for beginners.

If in doubt, don’t hesitate to contact us either by e-mail at info@pin-so.com or by phone at 1-418-651-7682.

SUPPLIES AND PREPARATION

Some artists include materials, others do not. This is personal and specific to each type of seminar. So it’s still very important to read each course description carefully to find out what’s included.

When you register for a seminar, we’ll send you a list of the supplies you’ll need to bring with you as soon as possible. If you would like to have access to it before you register, please write to us (info@pin-so.com) and we will be happy to send it to you.

Instructions for preparation will be given with the list of supplies if applicable. The sketch and reference photos for the preparation will be given to you only when the course has been paid for in full.

Porcelain paint 150 45ml Pébéo
Product Details
Brand: Porcelaine 150
PORCELAINE 150 : A ENAMEDDLED PAINT FOR PORCELAIN

In 2019, Pébéo enriches its colour chart with 5 new matte, powdered / chalky colours inspired by tableware and home deco trends: Powder white, powder pink, powder blue, powder green, powder mole.

Porcelaine 150 puts professional enamel at everyday reach, with a new generation of 48 colours which after leaving it to dry for 24 hours, are set by a simple baking at 150°C (300°F) - in any domestic oven.

Once baked, decorated pieces are dishwasher safe. The colours can be blended together, deep and glossy, translucent or opaque, and reveal a beautiful enamel effect once baked. The Porcelaine 150 paint range also offers markers for fine tracing and writing. Also try the cloisonne outliners to add dimension to your creations.

Download the colour chart.

Porcelaine 150 can be applied to porcelain, earthenware and most surfaces that can withstand a temperature of 150°C. Depending on the choice of surface and tools used, various effects and transparencies and intensities of colours can be achieved. Porcelaine 150 makes professional enamelling available to all, by offering a generation of colours that are set simply by baking at 150°C, in any domestic oven. In bottle or tube or as markers, they can be mixed together, deep and shiny, transparent or opaque, with a superb enamelled finish once baked. Porcelain 150 allows for many different application methods: with a brush, a sponge, a stencil...

Stir the product with a stick before use. The colours can be applied directly on a surface that has been degreased with alcohol or soapy water. Once the object has been left to dry for 24 hours, it should be placed in a cold oven. Once the temperature reaches 150°C, bake for 35 minutes. The colours then take on a real enamelled appearance and become dishwasher safe (provided the instructions on the label are followed). Only surfaces that are not intended to come into contact with food should be decorated. Nevertheless, migration tests carried out by an accredited laboratory have shown that accidental contact of decorated areas with food does not represent a health hazard.

Porcelain 150 outliners, in a nozzle tube, can be used for outlining work and containing colours. Markers are recommended for fine lines, strokes and writing. Shake before using. Then, press the tip several times to prime. If a fine tip marker has not been used for a long time, it should be tested on a sheet of paper to make it ready for use. - Air dry for 72 hours for decorative use and wash lightly without soaking. - Allow to air dry for 24 hours then bake for 35 minutes at 150 °C to make dishwasher safe (provided label instructions are followed).

Store flat. Protect from freezing. To use Porcelain 150 colours with its accessories: see the P150 accessories product information.(Source: Pebeo website)
